My wife and I love to travel, so when WPPI (an annual photographers conference/trade show in Las Vegas) rolled around earlier this month, we jumped on it. Granted driving four hours to Vegas wasn’t the classic cross-country road trip, nevertheless it was time well spent conversing, listening to music and enjoying the desert sights.
Seeing and learning from the weathered pros at the conference was amazing; however, the real highlight was networking and meeting new friends. On our last day there a group of us packed our gear and went in search for a bit of awesomeness in the desert; we got more than we bargained for while exploring at the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation.
In the end, spending three days in the desert was cool. Spending three days combining your love for travel and learning and photography, was priceless. Glad to have met some new friends on this trip and can’t wait to do this again next year.
