When war is involved, somehow a love story becomes more real, more powerful.

I first met Hailey while navigating the seemingly endless myriad of classes in pursuit of a B.A. at California State University. The marketing class we were taking was challenging but the environment was fun and we both made it through. In contrast, the learning environment Danny was going through was less theory and more hands on. Being a combat medic in the Army he witnessed first hand a lot of what you and I may only see while comfortably browsing the internet and sipping on an iced Macchiato. His friends would later say that it was Hailey who helped get him through the ugliness of war while being deployed in Afghanistan.

The Ponte Winery was the perfect wedding venue for these guys. Saying their vows amidst majestic mountains (that’s California talk for big hills in the desert) and peaceful fields of grapevines while surrounded by the cheers of friends and family was a dream come true. It was a day these two won’t forget.
